They Tried to Erase Them. You Can Help Rewrite Their Story.
The Trail of Tears is one of the darkest chapters in American history. Between 1830 and 1850, entire Native nations—Cherokee, Choctaw, Seminole, Chickasaw, Creek and others—were forced from their homelands under the Indian Removal Act. Thousands perished from exposure, disease, and starvation. Families were torn apart. Cultures were disrupted. An entire people were made to suffer for the expansion of a nation that was not their own.
Yet, in the face of devastation, Native communities endured. Their strength and resilience carried them forward, refusing to let their identity be erased.

Why This History Matters?
The Trail of Tears is not just the past—it’s a reminder of ongoing struggles for Indigenous rights, sovereignty, and recognition. Remembering means standing against historical erasure, amplifying silenced voices, and ensuring these stories are never forgotten.
